Department's Website:Summary of Job Duties:The Advanced Practice Nurse/Physician Assistant will assist physician with clinic, organizing visits and performing clinic procedures, care coordination of patients, work as an independent care provider within the clinic. answer in-basket, MyChart and patient questions and work in collaboration with the physician to facilitate patients assigned with MD. The APRN/PA will be responsible for managing care of outpatients, answering telephone inquiries and filling prescriptions. The APRN/PA must have a high level of expertise to perform assessments/diagnosis/treatment of actual/potential problems of patients.

Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in Nursing/Physician Assistant Studies PLUS Three years of nursing experience
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Arkansas; APRN License Acute Care Certification/PA Licensure

Additional Information:Responsibilities:

• Coordinates specialized, multidisciplinary care and facilitates consults of patients to assure timely and appropriate treatment.
• Provides comprehensive health assessments, determines diagnoses, implements treatment plans, prescribes medical treatments, and manages health issues for patients in collaboration with the designated physician.
• Collaborates with a variety of health care professionals to diagnose and manage patients' health care problems serving as a resource, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate.
• Manages post procedure immunosuppression and labs of patient in coordination with physician and pharmacist.
• Participates in institutional initiatives and encourages the participation of others.
• Collaborates in policy and program development, implementation, and evaluation using best practices in delivering quality service.
• Edits and documents results in various critical care systems
• Performs other duties as assigned.
