Where is Kaidan in Skyrim? ›

Starting Out: Kaidan can be found in the Abandoned Prison and becomes a follower once freed. Note: The vanilla Abandoned Prison has a bit of a bug with followers, losing track of them when you leave. This bug should be fixed with the Unofficial Skyrim Patch.

To trigger Kaidan's romantic dialogue, put on an amulet of Mara and talk to him. Once this initial conversation is complete you don't need to continue wearing the amulet; the romantic questline will continue.

Kaidan is a tall, strong man of Akaviri decent. He has red eyes, black hair and a red tattoo on the right side of his face.

The romantic questline can be unlocked by wearing an Amulet of Mara and speaking to Kaidan. The quest will not fully unlock unless you've progressed far enough as 'friends'.
