The Truth About Spa Cover Shipping
Custom hot tub covers are too bulky for FedEx or UPS package services, so they ship factory-to-you via freight truck.
Fact: The other Guys advertise: Free Spa Cover Shipping, meaning the actual freight cost hides in their inflated price. Our reasonably priced, meticulously crafted covers with transparent shipping charges, are a far better value.

Need Spa Cover Measuring Help?
Measure the old hot tub Cover if:
- Cover hasn't warped or distorted since purchase
- You like the way the old cover fits
Measure the spa Shell if:
- Spa cover is missing
- Cover is warped, sagging, or distorted
- You're not happy with the fit of the old cover
Measuring the cover Skirt:
- Measure skirt length down from old cover's seam (shown below)
- Alternatively, measure exposed spa shell lip plus about ½" more
- Round skirt lengthUP to the nearest whole inch
- All straps extend about 4” below the length of the skirt
Pro Tips:
- Measure to the widest outer edge point of spa shell or old cover
- Center hinge always folds "A" dimension in half
- Length & width are rounded UP to nearest whole inch
- Covers built 1 or 2 inches too large always fit, unlike too small
- If measured close to being perfectly square (i.e. 84" x 85") it's likely square
- Extending & reading a tape measure is much easier with a helper
- New locking latches come with every cover, since original position varies
If You Have a 4-Sided Spa:
- Measure overall length & width, rounded UPto nearest whole inch
- Square has equal length & width - fold orientation isn't an issue
- Rectangle has unequal sides - cover usually folds away from keypad (long side folds in half)
- Measure corner radius using carpenter square on the old cover or at the widest part of the actual shell corner rim
- Where the corner curve touches the inch marks of the square is the radius
- Round radius number DOWN to the nearest whole inch - a smaller number will always fit over a larger curve
- Squared corners have a 0” radius
If You Have a Round Hot Tub:
- Outside diameter is roundedUP to nearest whole inch
- Cover is for perfect circle only - no oblong or oval
If You Have an 8-Sided Spa:
- Measure length & width, roundedUP to nearest whole inch
- Equal octagon has equal dimensions all sides - fold orientation isn't an issue
- 4 cut corner has cuts shorter than the sides - cover usually folds away from keypad (long side folds in half)
- For slightly curved corners, measure from the center of curve
- Round cut corner number DOWN to nearest whole inch- a smaller number will always fit over a larger cut
- For 8-Sided, info goes into a CAD drawing for your approval

Lasted Only 3 Years :(
Very disappointed with the longevity of this cover. Purchased the standard duty cover (Mid-Grade) and added the double wrap core vapor barrier option. After 2 years water started somehow getting inside one side of the cover, and it turns out the water was inside the vapor barrier. I cut a hole in the barrier so that the water (approx 1/2 gallon) would drain out into the hot tub while holding the lid up. I had to do this every few weeks. Needless to say eventually the core became waterlogged. It’s now so heavy I’m not comfortable using the cover lifter for fear it will fail and damage the sides of the hot tub that it’s mounted on. An additional issue with the cover is both handles for lifting the cover have failed and broken free from the stitching.
I feel for the price that I paid for this cover, and having the added double layer of barrier protection added that the cover fell far short of how long it should last. This is the second cover I have ordered from spa depot, and the first cover lasted much longer. I now need to order a new cover, but am hesitant to order one again from spa depot for fear I will have a repeat experience in 3 more years. I need to do some shopping around and decide. I will say it was a very nice cover for the first 2 years, but in the third year it all went downhill from there.

Weather shield much nicer looking material
And besides that it was so much lighter. In fact our old one was probably heavier than this when it was brand new. So overall we are very happy to be able to lift it easier. This is our second cover the old one lasted about 5 maybe 6 years. But this is the first one with this weather shield.
